Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located? Can I visit you?

We work with clients across North America and Europe, but are primarily based in the community of East York, which is part of Tkaronto/Toronto, Canada, where we have a dedicated studio. We also maintain a small office in North Toronto. Unfortunately, these locations are not open to the general public. However, we do annually participate in Culture Days, and participate in public festivals, conventions, and other events throughout the year. Visit Events for more information.

Can you create puppets for the project I'm currently producing?

For many years, we enjoyed the challenges of providing design, puppeteering, fabrication and other creative services to advertising agencies, production companies, major and minor league sports teams, theatres, cultural institutions, and others.

In March of 2026, due to changing business conditions the difficult decision was made to wind down the creative services side of our business that provided fabrication services to focus on developing character-led, story-driven entertainment properties going forward. We’ll be wrapping up and resolving outstanding projects by April 1, 2026.

Do you use artificial intelligence in your work?

Working at the intersection of cutting-edge technology, storytelling and handcrafted arts, we support the responsible development and use of so-called generative artificial intelligence as a tool to help artists realize their creative vision, but never as a means to replace them.

We also realize that some of the methods currently being used to train A.I. models present complex legal and ethical concerns. In some cases that may include violating the copyrights of writers, filmmakers, visual artists and other creatives, including us. We take that very seriously.

In our work, generative A.I. is used selectively and thoughtfully. On some projects it helps us with developing mock-ups, 3D modelling, conceptualization, compositing, and various other behind-the-scenes tasks. However, everything we make still begins with pencil, paper and human imagination and is ultimately crafted by hand by real people with lots of love (and usually more than a few glue guns).

Like everyone else, we’re in the very earliest stages of exploring and understanding this new technology. We expect to keep re-examining and re-evaluating how, when, and why we use AI in the months and years ahead; always guided by the principle that human creativity, not algorithms, is at the heart of our art.

Do you teach classes or workshops?

In the past , we occasionally presented workshops and hosted masterclasses with visiting Canadian and international artists.  We are not currently presenting workshops, but we hope to be able to resume our Masterclass Series at some point in 2026.
