And that’s a wrap on Culture Days 2025!
A huge thank you so much to everyone who came out to our Culture Days workshops and presentations over the past few weeks. We had lots of fun meeting new people, sharing puppetry techniques and being part of three weeks of free arts and culture events across Vaughan.
Following a Video Puppetry 101 session at the Vaughan Culture Days Kick-Off event, we presented our brand new Box Pop workshop at the Rosemount and Vellore Village community centres. Box Pop is a new hands-on puppetry experience we’ve been developing for schools, libraries and community centres that enable adults and youth alike to create cardboard puppet characters.

At most workshops we also supplied everyone with a small Culture Days gift bag, that included a Peepers practice puppet to help them continue playing with puppetry at home (due to shortages caused by the ongoing Canada Post strike, we regret that we were not able to offer gift bags at all workshops).
Our Culture Days programs may be over, but Culture Days itself continues through October 19th. There are still lots of opportunities to engage in arts, culture, and heritage events right across Canada.
